Universal Pictures’ The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle production is finally coming together with the full cast reveal. And boy what a stellar cast has this film assembled.
Led by Robert Downey Jr as the titular character, The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle also features a number of big name actors. Downey made his announcement on social media, welcoming his new co-stars.

Joining the actor on this new voyage are Emma Thompson (Polynesia the parrot), Craig Robinson ( Fleming the mouse), Rami Malek (Chee-Chee the gorilla), Carmen Ejogo (the lioness Regine), Octavia Spencer (Dab-Dab the duck), Tom Holland (Jip the dog), Ralph Fiennes (the tiger Barry), Marion Cotillard (Tutu the fox), Kumail Nanjiani (Plimpton the ostrich), Frances de la Tour (Ginko-Who-Soars) John Cena (Yoshi the polar bear), and Selena Gomez (Betsy the giraffe).
This is the third time a Doctor Dolittle film is being made. Previous adaptations of the book for the big screen included a 1967 musical starring Rex Harrison and the 1998 comedy starring Eddie Murphy.
The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle is scheduled for a mid- April 2019 release.
