The new trailer for The King’s Man, expands the spy universe we first saw in 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service. The prequel reveals how the super-secret service came to be with Ralph Fiennes portraying one of the lead characters that should prove to be essential to the organisation.
Taking place in the past, The King’s Man showcases the early days of the agency in the modern era with a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gathering to plot a war to wipe out millions. In the chaos, one man must race against time to stop them.
Along with allowing fans to discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man, the story of the film still retains the mentor-mentee elements that were the core of the storylines for both The Secret Service as well as 2017’s The Golden Circle. It’s also got a bunch of spy toys and gadgets, which is what these films are about as well.
Set to arrive in cinemas in September, the film also stars Harris Dickinson, Tom Hollander, Daniel Bruhl, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode, and Charles Dance with Rhys Ifans as Rasputin.
