Disney+ has released the first official look at The Mandalorian Season 2, which continues the adventures of intergalactic bounty hunter. No details have been revealed about the upcoming season except that there will be a new big bad in play in the form of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).
Pedro Pascal returns to play the titular character with Robert Rodriguez, Peyton Reed, and Carl Weathers taking turns in the director’s chair in season 2. The new trailer also suggests a bigger link to the Star Wars franchise, namely the Jedi, who the bounty hunter needs to track down to deliver Baby Yoda to.
Created by Jon Favreau and executive produced by Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian Season 2 certainly looks promising and also not short on action. Speculation is also rife that there will be more tie-ins and surprises in store for fans in the new season, along with some familiar faces and Star Wars characters too.
The Mandalorian Season 2 hits Disney+ in late October.
