If you ever wanted to know the origins to the Kingsman franchise, well you only need to wait till February next year to find out. Disney/20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for The King’s Man, which offers us a first look at the Matthew Vaughn directed prequel.
Taking place sometime during World War 1, the film is set several decades before the events of 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and 2017’s sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Starring Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson, the film sees the beginnings of the secret spy organisation that audiences have grown to love.
The official synopsis reads:
As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man, directed by Matthew Vaughn, coming to theatres in February 2020.
The film also stars Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.
