Director James Gunn and cast members Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana will be travelling to South East Asia to promote Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

The trio will be hitting Singapore on 12 July, 2014 to meet fans and media from the Asia-Pacific region as part of the Southeast Asia tour for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition to meet and greets as well as media interviews, Gunn, Bautista and Saldana are also scheduled to be on hand at a red carpet event held at Shaw Lido from 6.30pm on the day as well.

In the film, which is based on the Marvel comic book series, both Bautista and Saldana are part of a quartet of superhero misfits known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. WWE star Bautista plays physical brute, Drax whilst Saldana, known for her roles in Star Trek and Avatar, plays Gamora, an orphan from an alien world.

Directed and co-written by James Gunn, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy finds space adventurer Peter Quill the object of a bounty hunt after stealing an orb coveted by a treacherous villain, but when Quill discovers the power it holds, he must find a way to rally the quartet of ragtag rivals hot on his trail to save the universe.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy opens in cinemas on 31 July in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and The Philippines and on 20 August in Indonesia.
