X-Men: Apocalypse is the final trilogy that started with X-Men: First Class and it’s also the film that will tie-up all loose ends with the characters that carried the franchise. One of the main characters that we will likely see for the last time in the franchise may well be Beast as revealed by actor Nicholas Hoult in a recent interview.
“This is the last one I’m signed up for,” the actor told E! Online. “The first one did so well and [Days of Future Past] got received so brilliantly. It’s like, ‘Wow, people really want to see the films’ and the best thing is it’s a great crew and cast to work with and he’s a fun character.”
Of course, this doesn’t mean that the character will meet his end or even recast as Hoult could still reprise his role as the iconic mutant. And the good news for fans is, he is certainly up to the task. “I have a good time playing him so I’d keep making them.”
Despite Bryan Singer’s intent to end his involvement with this current X-Men trilogy, Hoult and his extended X-Men cast members could find their way into some of the X-Men spinoffs currently in production such as Deadpool, Gambit and Wolverine 3. But all the same though, Beast will certainly roar again as X-Men: Apocalypse comes to theatres in summer 2016.
