Welcome to the day after Judgment Day. Producer James Cameron returns with director Tim Miller for Terminator: Dark Fate. Yes, folks, we have a new Terminator film in play, one that essentially continues right after 1991’s Terminator: Judgement Day and basically ignores everything else that came after it.
That means if you haven’t seen Terminator: Rise of the Machines, Terminator: Salvation and Terminator: Genisys, or even Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series; don’t worry as you’ll be up to speed on this one as soon as the opening credits roll.
As far as the official synopsis goes, it’s been pretty cryptic. All we know at this point of time, based on the trailers, is that Sarah Connor and the T-800 are back. There’s also a pair of good and bad Terminators at work as well.
The female one seems to be a machine/human hybrid while the lethal killing machine seems to be made again out of liquid metal. There’s also a hapless human in the midst, one which may unlock the secret to a post-apocalyptic future that the heroes are again attempting to desperately avoid.
