Prepare for a return to Hawkins because Netflix has just greenlit Stranger Things Season 3. The announcement came via Twitter with the streaming service announcing…
“FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, DUH! So hold tight baby darts — season 3 is officially happening”
The news will undoubtedly be welcome by fans of the Netflix series, especially with a lot of questions remaining unanswered in the second season. For starters there were a couple of open ended questions left looming towards the end of the season.
There was the Mind Flayer standing ominously in the upside down as the kids danced the night away at the prom. There was also a suggestion that Dr Brenner (Matthew Modine) that could be alive. And of course, the backstory of Eleven is also something that needs to be explored, especially following the revelation that she isn’t the only one with superpowers.
There were also several character development questions that were left for some of the key players of Stranger Things. Billy and Karen Wheeler teased a possible tryst while Chief Hopper looks to assume the role of father by ‘legally’ adopting Eleven.
Then there’s Steve Harrington, who surprised most by being one of the standout characters in Season 2. However with him and Nancy Wheeler going separate ways, we wonder what’s in store for Steve in Stranger Things Season 3.
Looks like we have to wait for the official announcement on when the next season will air.
