The new Stranger Things 4 teaser has dropped a pretty big reveal with a return of a character many presumed was dead following the events of Season 3. It looks like Hawkins Police Chief, Hopper (David Harbour) is alive and residing in Kamchatka, Russia.
That also brings us to the next big reveal, which is the shifting in locales for the show as it seemingly departs Hawkins, Indiana for the icy plains of Russia. The Duffer Brothers cheekily calls the new teaser ‘From Russia with Love’.
“We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….
Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American.”
From Russia with love,
The Duffer Brothers
Netflix hasn’t provided an airdate for the new season but fans should expect Stranger Things Season 4 to premiere at the very latest late in 2020.
