The upcoming Daredevil series will receive a boost of star power when Scott Glenn joins the production. The veteran actor has officially signed on to play Stick in the Marvel Netflix TV series.
Those familiar with the Daredevil comic books will recognise Stick as the martial arts mentor to Matt Murdock and Elektra. It appears that the Netflix series will remain true to the comic book origins with Glenn portraying the mysterious martial artist. On film, the character was portrayed by Terence Stamp in the Marvel comics’ adaptation of Elektra starring Jennifer Garner.
Glenn’s addition is the latest in the expanding Daredevil production which currently boasts Charlie Cox who stars as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll who will portray Karen Page and Vincent D’Onofrio who will play Wilson Fisk a.k.a. The Kingpin. Glenn is famously known for his roles in productions such as Silence of the Lambs, The Hunt for Red October and Sucker Punch.
The 13-episode Daredevil series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2015.
