Neil Armstrong is a name that needs little introduction especially since the late astronaut has the bragging rights to being the first man on the moon. Now, there’s a biopic in the works at Hollywood which will chronicle the life of the iconic spaceman.
According to recent reports, actor Ryan Gosling has been confirmed to have joined the production, which is being directed by Damien Chazelle. The story will be based on James Hansen’s best-selling book, ‘First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong.’
Marking the forty-fifth anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon landing, First Man by Hansen offers the only authorized glimpse into the life of America’s most famous astronaut, Neil Armstrong —the man whose “one small step” changed history. The book is based on over fifty hours of interviews with the intensely private Armstrong, who also gave Hansen exclusive access to private documents and family sources, this “magnificent panorama of the second half of the American twentieth century.”
No news on when production will begin of who else will join Gosling in this production as yet. Fans of the actor though don’t have to wait too long to see the star in action as he is featuring in La La Land, which is in theatres and in Blade Runner 2049, which will be released in Summer 2017.
