Believe it or not, but Resident Evil is getting rebooted into a six-film franchise fresh off what was supposed to be its ‘Final Chapter.’ According to reports, a reboot for the video game adaptation is now underway at Constantin Films.
Despite being panned by critics, Resident Evil has emerged as the most successful video game adaptation thus far. In total, the six-film franchise has raked in over USD1 billion at the box-office, which is why a reboot is now being planned.
Nevertheless, it is unknown if the new film franchise will be based around Alice, who was played by Milla Jovovich. Although the movie franchise was only moderately received, the video game is still a hot property in the gaming world.
Let’s see what the big wigs at Constantin can create with this new universe, which is being created. We also wonder if it will tie-in with the recently concluded six-film franchise, which ended with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter just a few months ago.
