Academy Award winning actor and funny man has died at age 63.
Robin Williams has passed away. The brilliant actor and comedian who starred in such hits such as Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs Doubtfire and Patch Adams, was found dead this morning at his home in northern California.
Although early indications imply that he passed on due to an apparent suicide through asphyxiation, further investigations are under way. He is survived by his third wife Susan Schnieder and his children Zachary, Zelda and Cody.
Boasting a stellar career filled with memorable roles, Williams passing will be missed by all his fans. He received his big break in the late 70s with Mork & Mindy, playing an alien and made his foray into films delivering amazing performances in Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society and The Fisher King, to which he notched up three Academy Award Nominations.
He eventually won his first Oscar for Good Will Hunting in 1997. The comedian was also instrumental in spearheading Comic Relief in America, which helped the homeless. Williams recently starred in the Angriest Man in Brooklyn and will be seen later this year in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
Rest in Peace Robin Williams. You will be missed.
