New Creed 2 trailer has landed, rolling out the sequel’s storyline and providing another significant linkage to the Rocky franchise. We’re of course talking about Ivan Drago, played again by Dolph Lundgren, who returns this time with his son, Vitor Drago (Florian Munteanu) in tow. Fans of the series will remember that the senior Drago killed Apollo Creed in Rocky IV, which brings us full circle to the sequel at hand.
Creed 2 sees life becoming a balancing act for Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan). Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring.
Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed 2 is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.
Joining Jordan and Stallone in Creed 2 are Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne, Wood Harris, Andre Ward and Tessa Thompson. The film arrives in cinemas in late November.
