Netflix and Michael Bay hare introducing a new kind of action hero in the film, 6 Underground, which is being led by Ryan Reynolds. The new trailer seems to emphasize that fact with a mad dash through Italy.
“History. Beauty. Tranquility. Embark on an adventure to the world’s most exquisite destination… Italy!Travel insurance recommended” – reads the description of the new trailer, which sees Reynolds leading a covert team on a not so covert operation in Europe. But the good news is that the film is not short on action, specifically the Michael Bay kind.
The official synopsis for 6 Underground reads…
What’s the best part of being dead? It isn’t escaping your boss, your ex, or even erasing your criminal record. The best part about being dead…is the freedom. The freedom to fight the injustice and evil that lurk in our world without anyone or anything to slow you down or tell you “no.”
Six individuals from all around the globe, each the very best at what they do, have been chosen not only for their skill, but for a unique desire to delete their pasts to change the future. The team is brought together by an enigmatic leader, whose sole mission in life is to ensure that, while he and his fellow operatives will never be remembered, their actions damn sure will.
6 Underground is penned by Deadpool writing team of Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. The film also stars Mélanie Laurent, Corey Hawkins, Adria Arjona, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ben Hardy, Lior Raz, Payman Maadi and Dave Franco. Catch this one when it lands on Netflix on 13 December 2019.
