Michael Bay has an evident hard on for cars and all things mechanical. So it’s no surprise that the latest bit of news involving the director comes from his apparent involvement in the adaptation of Cosmic Motors.
The book by vehicle designer, Daniel Simon is based on the fictional realm of Galaxian where futuristic vehicle concepts have come to life. The premise alone seems right up Bay’s alley seeing his affinity towards mechanised vehicles/ robots. Simon is also familiar with film as he’s worked on a number of Hollywood productions, designing vehicles for TRON: Legacy, Oblivion and Captain America: The First Avenger.
According to a recent report in Variety, Bay and studio Warner Bros. have put writer Kyle Ward on to pen the Cosmic Motors screenplay. Ward previously worked on Machete Kills and Agent 47.
