It’s taken a while but it seems that Warner Bros. has finally settled on a new Lara Croft for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. After months of speculation, which put Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley in the lead, Warner Bros. and MGM settled on Ex Machina breakout star, Alicia Vikander to portray the iconic video game adventurer. The studio is currently looking at 2017 as a potential release date for the reboot. The last time we say Lady Croft on the big screen was in 2003’s Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life.

Netflix Punisher Series
daredevil_season_2Fresh off his appearance in Daredevil Season 2, The Punisher is now getting ready to lock and load for a spinoff series of his own. Frank Castle will be fronting his own solo series with Jon Bernthal reprising the role of Marvel’s iconic vigilante. Bernthal’s portrayal of The Punisher was one of the talking points of Daredevil Season 2, which is why it’s no surprise to see Netflix itching to capitalise on a series of his own. It still remains to be seen if The Punisher will have a role to play in the upcoming Defenders series.
