Relativity is now searching for a new actor to portray The Crow owing to the departure of Luke Evans from the project. Evans was due to front the new franchise for the studio but due to unforeseen delays and the actor’s growing schedule, the British actor has decided to officially leave the project.
The Crow has been in development for some time but Relativity has just failed to get the film going. Both Tom Hiddleston and Bradley Cooper were linked to the project prior to Evans but both passed on the role. The project has also seen changes in the director’s chair with Corin Hardy replacing F. Javier Gutierrez.
Faced with such delays and changes, it remains to be seen if Relativity can mount a serious push to finally get The Crow off the ground again. The search for a new actor to front the project will undoubtedly cause more delays and it has become the latest bump in the road to kick start the burgeoning franchise. Fans would remember that 1994’s The Crow starring Brandon Lee became a cult classic after the death of the actor on the set of the movie.
