The Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer shows us what we can expect from the upcoming Dreamworks sequel with a reunion of sorts between Po and his long-lost dad. That’s basically the premise that will make up the third instalment to Kung Fu Panda, which will hit cinemas the world in early 2016, just in time for the Lunar year.
According to the official synopsis, Kung Fu Panda 3 will see Po and his dad reunite before embarking on a journey that leads them to a secret panda paradise. However trouble soon brews across the land when Kai, a supernatural villain appears and begins to defeat all the Kung Fu masters across China.
Sensing certain doom, Po decides to train the village full of pandas, turning them into the ultimate fighting group so that they can stop Kai. Kung Fu Panda 3 sees Jack Black returning to voice Po along with franchise regulars Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and James Hong. Randall Duk Kim, Bryan Cranston and Rebel Wilson join the production voicing new characters.
Kung Fu Panda 3 hits cinemas in January 2016.
