After generating a tonne of buzz on social media across the globe, fans will now be finally treated to Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. The fabled Snyder Cut has been talked about sometime and it even generated #ReleaseTheSnyderCut that has pushed many fans as well as companies to get on the bandwagon.
Well, all that effort has apparently finally paid off as the director’s cut of Justice League is finally coming to fruition, nearly three years after it was released in theatres. The problems surrounding Justice League has been well-documented. The critically-panned film was also a commercial failure, despite generating over USD650 million at the box-office, due to its high production cost.
The production was also notoriously known for problems behind the scenes as well with Snyder, who took a leave of absence due to a family tragedy, being replaced by Josh Whedon towards the end of production. The result of it was a mess of a film that leap frogged between drama and comedy and strange-looking set pieces.
Now after three years, Warner Bros is going to give fans what they want, by spending close to USD30 million to deliver Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. The production will air on HBO Max next year, allowing fans to finally experience the original version of the movie that Snyder intended.
