IFC Films takes David Bowie fans on a road trip of sorts to uncover the creation of his most famous alter-egos in Stardust. In the film directed by Gabriel Range, Johnny Flynn portrays the late music legend, who was renowned not just for his musical abilities but also for being a reputable style icon.
David Bowie is one of the most seminal legends in music history; but who was the man behind the many faces? In 1971, a 24-year-old fledgling David Bowie (Flynn) is sent to America to promote his newest record, ‘The Man Who Sold the World’.
Leaving behind his pregnant wife Angie (Jena Malone), Bowie and his band embark on a makeshift coast-to-coast promotional tour with struggling Mercury Records publicist Rob Oberman (Marc Maron).
Along the way he uncovers the need to reinvent himself, which results in the creation of one of his iconic music personas in Ziggy Stardust.
Stardust is due to arrive on VOD on 25th November 2020.
