Celebrity endorsements are pretty common in the realm of advertising but we’re slowly learning that The Hulk has slowly emerged as Marvel’s ‘go-to-guy’ for TV commercials.
Most recently, the jolly green giant is seen smashing a satellite in a new Renault SUV commercial in Brazil. In the one-minute advert, The Hulk is seen rampaging through the streets followed by a Renault KWID SUV before destroying a falling satellite.
But this isn’t the first time the Marvel Avenger has appeared in a TVC. In 2014, The Hulk helped pitched for Nike in a commercial featuring Wayne Rooney and Ronaldo as well.
And last year, the superhero was seen starring in the half-time Superbowl commercial promoting Coke with fellow Avenger, Ant-Man.
The Hulk certainly has been busy and we expect him to lead the charge for more Marvel endorsements in the years ahead. It’s also becoming quite lucrative for Marvel studios to leverage off the appeal of its superheroes. Just a few months ago, we saw Spider-Man deliver a pretty cool advert for Audi as well.
As far as The Hulk goes though, he won’t be seen in Brazil just promoting French cars as he’s due to play a major role in the upcoming Marvel sequel, Thor: Ragnarok, which will be released in November 2017.
