Wave goodbye to Danny Rand and gang as Iron Fist has ended its run on Netflix after two seasons. The Finn Jones-led Marvel series will not return for a third season, bringing to an end the adventures of the superhero, at least from a standalone series point of view.
The Netflix series formed part of the MCU on the streaming service, which includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and The Punisher. It also included an ensemble series, The Defenders. Now with Disney working hard towards launching its own streaming service, it looks like the Marvel characters may be heading to a new home.
“Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew, and showrunners,” read the joint statement by Netflix and Marvel. “We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.”
You can still catch both seasons of Iron Fist on Netflix. Daredevil season 3 will also premiere later this week.
