There will be another superhero film swinging its way into cinemas later this year, albeit in animated form with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The upcoming feature-length animation comes from the creative minds of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller who gave us The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street.
Bringing their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a ground-breaking visual style that’s the first of its kind, Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
The interesting bit about this latest trailer is that it shows us several incarnations of the web-crawler including Spider-Gwen, Noir-Spider-Man and the one we’re most familiar with – Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. However, the one that we wholeheartedly love is the appearance of Spider-Ham.
Despite its animated form, Into The Spider-Verse does have some impressive talent. The film features Mahershala Ali, Hailee Steinfeld, Nicolas Cage and Lily Tomlin who lend their voices to some of the characters. The big bad in this movie is the Kingpin, voiced by Liev Schreiber.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings its way into cinemas in mid-December 2018.
