Despite busy playing one of the most iconic superheroes, British actor Henry Cavill is open to the idea of portraying secret agent, James Bond. The actor admitted he would love to play agent 007 but only if his roles in the DC cinematic universe allows it.
“I’m very busy with the Superman stuff, but if there were any windows and they wanted me to do that kind of role, it would be great. I would love to do it,” said the actor on The Graham Norton Show on BBC. Cavill isn’t the only actor who is interested in playing the iconic British agent, as Tom Hiddleston has also thrown his name into the hat.
It’s widely speculated that Daniel Craig is done playing James Bond, despite still having another film left on his contract. A retool of the character won’t be such a bad idea considering the less than stellar critical response to 2015’s Spectre. Cavill though has the chops to pull the role, seeing that he has already dabbled in another spy genre, starring in the Man from U.N.C.L.E as U.S. Agent, Napoleon Solo.
