HBO promises a full day of family-friendly animations on the first day of the Lunar New Year, including all-time favourites Finding Nemo, Despicable Me 2 and the Asian television premiere of The Lego Movie.

Everything Is Awesome
Ready for that song to get stuck in your head again? Well, on Thursday, 19 February at 9pm, you’ll get your chance as The Lego Movie premieres on HBO. One of the biggest box-office hits of 2014, the animated film is the first ever full-length theatrical featuring some of LEGO’s most popular figurines.

The story centres on Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt), a perfectly average LEGO minifigure, who is mistaken to be the key to saving his world. He’s drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously under prepared for. The Lego Movie also stars Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

But The Lego Movie isn’t the only highlight of the big day as HBO is offering a tonne of other animated adventures that begins at noon with Open Season followed by Lilo & Stitch, Over the Hedge, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo and Despicable Me 2.

And it’s all happening on HBO and HBO HD (Astro Ch 411/431) this February 19.
