The Mission: Impossible franchise may have just added Haley Atwell to the team, based on recent developments on social media, above all things. Director Christopher McQuarrie posted a photo of Atwell on an Impossible Missions Force binder with a caption, “Should you choose to accept…”
Atwell later responded, “Mission: Accepted. Though I’m not the sort to follow orders…”
Although no official announcement has been made, it seems apparent that the British actress will undoubtedly lend her talents to the upcoming sequel. She will be a good addition no doubt, especially with her experience of playing a secret agent herself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Her time playing Peggy Carter will certainly come in handy for Mission: Impossible 7, although no plot details have been released as yet. Mission: Impossible- Fallout, released last year was the highest-grossing entry in the franchise, raking in close to USD800 million worldwide.
Tom Cruise and writer-director, McQuarrie will follow-up with a seventh entry to the franchise due out in summer 2021 with an eighth film scheduled for summer 2022.
