Cameras are rolling for Jurassic World 2 with filming underway in the U.K. under the watchful eye of director J.A. Bayona. The sequel is a highly-anticipated film following the success of Jurassic World by Colin Trevorrow.
Fans are definitely clamouring for more prehistoric shenanigans from the dinosaur sequel following the events of the first film. With the theme park destroyed and subjected to a PR nightmare, Jurassic World is likely doomed for good, but the fate of the dinosaurs that inhabit the island remains but a mystery.
This likely will be the plotline for Jurassic World 2, which many fans suspect will be a dinosaur rescue mission following Universal Pictures trademarking some suspect websites recently. Then there’s that little issue of BD Wong’s character who escaped with dinosaur DNA hinting that he is a part of an InGen conspiracy in attempting to weaponise the creatures.
In any case, it’s all speculation at this point and judging by the first photo release, it seems the film will take place in a museum of some sort at some point in the movie. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas and BD Wong are returning for the sequel and will be joined by Toby Jones, Ted Levine, James Cromwell, Rafe Spall, and Justice Smith.
Jurassic World 2 is slated for release in June 2018.
