Harry Potter star, Emma Watson has had a busy time starring in a number of projects, which is why she’s taking a short hiatus from Hollywood. The actress will reportedly take a full year break from acting, to focus on her work for gender equality for the HeForShe campaign.
“I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things, really,” said Watson in a recent interview with Paper Magazine. “My own personal development is one. My own personal task is to read a book a week, and also to read a book a month as part of my book club.” The other will be devoting her time to HeForShe.
That said, despite not taking up any acting offers for a year, Watson will not be missed in cinemas owing to a multitude of projects on her plate. This year alone she will be seen in the thriller Regression opposite Ethan Hawke and Colonia, which she headlines. She will also star alongside Tom Hanks in The Circle later this year before starring as Belle in the live-action Disney musical, Beauty and the Beast, which opens in early 2017.
