In the post credit scene in Doctor Strange, the appearance of the God of Thunder has suggested that both characters will be working together in Thor: Ragnarok. But a recent report claims that Benedict Cumberbatch’s portrayal of the Sorcerer Supreme could lead to a larger role than just a cameo.
It would seem that Thor would be requiring the services of Doctor Strange to locate his missing father Odin. If the good Doctor’s appearance stretches beyond a mere cameo then it would likely make Thor: Ragnarok another ensemble film following 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
Already the film will see Loki as well as Hulk appear in the Taika Waititi film. Having Doctor Strange involved could bode well for the production as well seeing as how well received the Marvel standalone film was this year. It will also Marvel to paint a better narrative seeing as how Infinity War is expected to tie-in all their franchises into a single film.
However big Doctor Strange’s role will be in the film remains to be seen and perhaps there will be an indication of the character’s appearance in the Thor: Ragnarok trailer once it drops. The Marvel Studios film is scheduled for release in early November and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins and Mark Ruffalo.
