The rights to Daredevil have officially reverted back to Marvel this week, bringing back the hero of Hell’s Kitchen back to the studios. Naturally this means, Marvel can now begin weaving the character into the MCU, if it so chooses.
Daredevil has enjoyed decent success on Netflix in which the streaming platform has produced three seasons along with a Defenders series. However Netflix decided to pull the plug for a fourth season, leaving fans wondering about the fate of the hero.
Charlie Cox portrayed The Man Without Fear a.k.a. Matt Murdock with Vincent D’Onofrio portraying crime boss, The Kingpin. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson portrayed Karen Page and Foggy Nelson respectively.
The Daredevil series introduced a number of characters over the three seasons including Elektra played by Elodie Young and The Punisher, which was brought to life by Jon Bernthal. With a wealth of storylines and not to mention great casting, fans are wondering if Marvel Studios will decided to continue with the path set by Netflix.
However, with Disney+ eyed as the platform, which will likely be the new home for these characters, Marvel Studios can pretty much reboot Daredevil and recast its characters altogether.
