The latest Bill & Ted Face the Music trailer reveals the best look yet at the upcoming sequel, this time with a release date set for 1 September. By all accounts, it looks like Orion Pictures is dead set on releasing the film by this year as it has also penned in an On Demand release as well.

Although most fans would like to see this film on the big screen, the Coronavirus Pandemic may scupper those plans. As such it is somewhat of a consolation that Orion has optioned an On Demand release for fans to finally see this long-awaited sequel.

Bill & Ted Face the Music, reunites Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, who once more have to save the world as the eponymous heroes. The film takes place thirty years after the original film with both Bill and Ted yet to fulfil their destiny to change the world.

Now dads to teenage daughters, Bill and Ted are summoned to the future where they discover that they haven’t changed the world as they were supposed to. Faced with a possibility of the world being plunged into chaos, the two decide to steal the mythical song they are supposed to have written from themselves.

Joining Reeves and Winter on this journey are Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving, portraying their kids, Billie and Thea. We also see the return of fan favourite character, Death played once more by William Sadler.

Bill & Ted Face the Music also stars trailer below Holland Taylor, Hal Landon Jr., Amy Stoch, Kid Cudi, Beck Bennett, Kristen Schaal, and Anthony Carrigan. The film is directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest).

Look out for Bill & Ted’s return in cinemas and On Demand this September.
