What do you get when you stick Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling in one movie? The answer to that lies in The Big Short, an upcoming financial drama that already has fans salivating at the prospect of seeing the three great actors on screen together.
But signing on Pitt, Bale and Gosling to the project is just one part of the film as the film will also be directed by Adam McKay. The film is also another adaptation from the best-selling author, Michael Lewis who penned Moneyball and The Blind Side.
The credentials of the film alone notwithstanding, The Big Short also offers an interesting premise. The film will follow the lives of several individuals who are primarily responsible for causing the housing and credit bubble in the U.S. in the early 2000s, which led to the financial crash between the years of 2007 and 2010.
According to a recent report by Variety, The Big Short is also expected to add more big names to the project. The film is currently in development with no production schedule being mentioned as yet.
